Georgia legalizes hemp farming

The Georgia General Assembly passed the Georgia Hemp Farming Act (House Bill 213) right before it adjourned in April. 政府. Brian Kemp signed it into law May 10.

The Controlled Substances Act, passed in 1970, made hemp illegal. This changed in the 2014 farm bill, which established hemp 生产 pilot programs.
